Christmas Wedding Cakes

Christmas Cakes

Why not take advantage of beautifully decorated venues during the holidays? Christmas Wedding Cakes are usually made “Holiday-ish” by the décor. There are so many creative ways to tie in a holiday theme, the sky is the limit!

Winter nuptials are increasingly popular, mostly due to their great savings, which is really important to many people in this economy. Why the savings? Venues are usually decked to the nines in the month of December. This eliminates any need to decorate further. Decorating costs for events are very expensive, so when the bride and groom can skip this expense, it makes it less expensive overall. On the other hand, events in December are hard to get on the books, as many companies have their annual parties during this time. This could also be a problem in getting a strong attendance at your event.

Events in January through March, are less common due to potential bad weather. This is considered the "off season". Venues may even lower their rates during this time of year in hopes to generate some more business, and offset the busy spring, summer and fall months.

We once did a holiday themed event with a dessert perched atop a sleigh-shaped stand, that was pulled by Santa and reindeer made of marzipan. It was so creative and fun! The guests were in awe.

Another popular idea is to use petit fours that look like holiday gifts – with each tier’s frosting copying your favorite swatches of holiday wrapper paper.

Snowflakes, angels, nutcrackers, candy canes, mistletoe, gingerbread people, or holiday colors: red, white, silver, and green...all these and many more can be incorporated into the theme.

Winter nuptials that aren't during December are usually white on white, incorporating cascading snow, trees, snowflakes, snow people (even as toppers), to pull in the winter theme.

Believe it or not, the below is a rental!
