Cork Cake Stand

I'm getting married at a winery, so I plan to make a wedding cake stand out of corks. I got the idea from a magazine, but not for a cake stand, it was for a light. I'm going to buy a square plexiglass stand, and cover the outside of it with wine corks, leaving a little bit of space between each cork, so the light that I put in the plexiglass stand will show through.
