OK, I know this one is crooked, but I love it! I'm having a real rustic wedding in an old barn with a Tuscany feel, so the typical white frosting kinda wedding cake is not going to work. I wanted something fancy though. I think this is the answer! Now I have to figure out what kind of cake to use.

Fantasic Topsy Turvy Cake

Hello Wedding Cake Toppers,

I am so excited that I stumbled upon your site today so that I could share my fantastic topsy turvy cake design that I chose for my upcoming wedding.

I found it in Issue 33 of Wedding Cakes, a UK publication. It appears the designer may be Dalilia Cabrita. I LOVE this cake.

My wedding is in the fall, and the bridesmaid dresses are brown - so I'll be sure to match the shade of brown in their dresses to the frosting. Also, my dress is ivory, so I'll do the same there. My mother and future mother-in-law will be wearing gold dresses. The groomsmen will be wearing brown ties, the groom an ivory tie. I was even thinking of having our 3 flower girls wear gold dresses, but that may be too Vegas. I may opt for ivory instead.

This grabbed my eye because it incorporated colors already in my wedding AND it's whimsical theme represents my future husband and my personalities (we're both quarky artists) and will go along with our reception site: in a friends's Arts & Crafts style lodge.

My Mad Hatter Cake

I absolutely love this Mad Hatter Cake that I found, it's going to be my engagement cake. I'm going to meet with a baker to make a larger more elaborate version for my actual wedding cake. All of the colors in the cake are going to be the inspiration for everything else at my wedding: each bridesmaid's dress will be purple, orange, pink, lime, and hot pink. My bouquet will also incorporate all of the colors. Everyone attending my wedding will be asked to wear all white, so the scattered bit of color will really pop.
