Monogram Wedding Cake Toppers
We only have a few words to say about monogram wedding cake toppers: boring and generic! Sorry everyone. I'm sure you have seen the hundreds and hundreds of these all over Martha Stewart magazines or any bridal book at the local bookstore or news agent. If you want a boiler plate looking dessert display, then look into monogram cake toppers. If you want a one-of-a-kind personalized event that reflects your personality and style, then don't! We have worked with many couples lately that insist on this option. It's not that we're completely against the idea, but we've seen them SO many times, over and over. Lots of couples view it as the modern choice, but it's sort of like the easy, "put the least thought into it" option. We like to push our clients' creativity further than that. There are many vendors that sell initials "as is", or they can easily custom create a group of letters with the initials of the bride and groom. We've included one of the most beautiful ones we've seen above. If you choose this style, try to make it a little more personalized and custom. Try to think out of the box. For instance, ask your baker if they can create letter(s) with a design that you've incorporated elsewhere. This is a great way to tie in your stationery, flowers, napkins, ice sculpture or whatever else to the design. Why as your baker to create it? This is because your baker may used unique materials that will make your initials more unique: marzipan, gumpaste, a structure covered with fondant. Or your baker could incorporate sugar flowers or fresh flowers into the design, or construct the initials with something totally organic like twigs from a tree. Whatever the case, think out of the box!
