I like the idea of avoiding the cake cutting myself.

That is AMAZING that you did your own cupcakes! It sounds like it was a lot of work to baby your own cupcakes for your wedding, but worth it because all of the money you saved. Obviously it was a labor or love, and you must have felt very proud. Good for you!

Loved your post! I too baked and decorated my own cupcakes for my wedding, except mine cost a little more, $250, for 200 guests. It was a lot of work, but I would do it again. Cupcakes were so much more cost effective for my wedding on a budget, than a traditional wedding cake.
