Vanilla Cake Icing

I'm looking for a good vanilla cake icing to complement this recipe. I see the buttercream frosting option is listed above. Is it best to flavor it with vanilla? Are there other options that are good as well? I was kind of wondering if a lemon frosting would taste good too. Please advise.
